Followers' SWEET STUFF, Friday Sketchers #135 and WINNER!!!

Happy Friday and almost Happy New Year to each of you!! I hope that you have all had a marvelous holiday and are looking forward to an even better New Year. Yesterday was my first day out of the house since before Christmas because of that wonderful WHITE STUFF!!! ARGH!!!!!!! I won't tell you what I think about snow at this point!!! SMILES

This week at Friday Sketchers #135 we are being hosted by Inge of the Netherlands who has provided us with a very challenging sketch for me. Since I usually double mat and stitch my panels I ended up with 15 layers of papers when I count the base!!! But thanks so much, Inge, for the fun!!! I hope you will decide to join with us this week where there is a very nice prize provided by 7 Kids College Fund.

For my card I used Bazzill for the base, PTI and Bazzill for the matting, and all of the DP is a Mina Vanner Rosa-Marina 3 Creation of Maja Designs which was a gift from the most talented Gunilla of Sweden along with the hÄnglar & stÄnglar image that I used! Thank you so much, Gunilla! I love it ALL!!!! Most of the panels were machine stitched. The solid mauve panel was crimped. The image was colored with Copics, Star Dust Stickles outline the wings, and the shabby white cornerpieces are by Melissa Frances. The Cherry Blossom Stems, Heart-Shaped Pins, and Guipure Cream Lace are all available at Wild Orchid Crafts. Due to time constraints I didn't finish the inside this time because I wanted to get a surprise ready for my FOLLOWERS instead.

But first the WINNER of the SWEET STUFF from last Friday which was sponsored by Whimsy Stamps---thank you again, Denise!!! Congratulations to.........

CARISSA from Ontario Canada!!!

Carissa, please contact me before Sunday, January 2 at midnight EST so that we can get your prizes to you. If I have not heard by then, I will select another winner!

Amazing Works of Art by Mike Laverty!!!!

Happy Thursday and Happy Holiday to each of you! I hope that you are all un-stressed and are prepared for a magnificently blessed holiday!

I just had to share something with you today that I just received from Mike Laverty, an unbelievable artist and the sweet, kind, talented and wonderful hubby of Suzan! Mike doesn't have a blog and I knew you just had to see his splendid work! The picture above shows this beautiful triptych of Santa in the sleigh with his reindeer with lights behind it. Isn't it beautiful!!! The picture below shows the great detail that Mike put into the amazing gift to me. He made the wood frames to surround the hand cut copper and he used frosted glass behind the copper. I am so amazed at the beauty of this work of art!!! Thank you so much, Mike, for this absolutely lovely holiday triptych! I love it!!!

These are the ornaments that Mike made for me last Christmas. There is so much detail work on both the three dimensional snowflake and the Santa and reindeer ornaments. Mike is a true craftsman and woodworker!!

And this is the handmade basket that Mike made for me for my birthday so that I can keep candies close at hand when I am coloring and crafting!! Can you believe it??

I also wanted to remind you of the Friday Sketchers 2nd Annual Holiday Blog Hop tomorrow where you will find SWEET STUFF all along your hopping way!! So please drop by and see what's happening at my blog tomorrow!

All major panels were machine stitched and the red panel was crimped before matting. Little Tilda Under the Mistletoe from Magnolia-licious was stamped on Cryogen White, colored with Copics, and cut out with Nesties. On the mistletoe I added Diamond Stickles for the berries. I wanted to use all of them BUT my brain just could not figure out how to be that creative....smile... You will find that several of the ribbons each month are unique to club members and are not available in the shop---one of the great benefits of being a member of the Ribbon Club!!

For my card I used Bazzill for the base, all matting is SU (Thanks, Claudia!!), and the DP is all from the Be Merry Collection by Kaisercraft. Most of the panels were machine stitched. Edwin and Peppermint are both now available at Magnolia-licious. For the horizontal I used two ribbons from the December Ribbon Club Assortment-- 5/8" Sheer Ruffle Edge Brown and 3/8" Satin with Grosgrain Edge Brown Narrow. In addition I used Magnolia Doohickey Tilda's Lace which is not available at Diana's right now but I am sure if you contact her she will let you know the status of this cute die. To finish the front I added some Chocolate Pearls, a candy cane dangle charm, and a Christmas Wishlist die cut from Kaisercraft.
On the first panel of the inside I used a double matted Christmas Wishlist and on the second panel I used a MINI Santa Edwin for the jotting spot. This same little darling was used on a couple of MS treat boxes to hold some flowers for my SWEET STUFF which you will see below!!!

WINNER...The winner of the Tilda with Fir SWEET STUFF is......

Happy Saturday to each and every one of YOU!!! I hope you are having a marvelous weekend...stress free and relaxing!!! Gosh!! How many of us are unstressed at this time of year?!?!? lol But anyway, just try to enjoy your weekend!!!

This week at Friday Sketchers #132 we are hosted by the very talented Bea of Germany who has given us such a delightful sketch to use. Thank you so much, Bea!! It was so much fun!! This week there is a very nice prize provided by Motivet so we hope you will come on over and join with us so we can see your interpretation of the fun sketch!!

For my DT Sample Card I used Bazzill for the base and for the bronze matting, the dark green matting is PTI Pinefeather. The DP is the "Pepperkakefest" designs by 3ndypapir.no and all major panels are machine stitched. I used the sweet little Chef Tilda from Magnolia-licious, stamped her on Cryogen White and colored her with Copics. She doesn't appear to be available at the moment but her little MINI companion is available HERE. For the right panel I crimped a piece of bronze CS to resemble a cookie sheet and added gingerbread boy buttons for the cookies. The horizontal is Jute String Cocoa. Rather than the flowers on the sketch I used additional cookie making buttons and for the sentiment I used a "Baked With Love" button. I finished the front with gold beads to soften the corners.

The inside of the card is quite simple with the addition of a gingerbread boy and girl on the first panel and a gingerbread boy charm dangling over the jotting spot!

I hope you like my little card and will decide to join us over at Friday Sketchers this week! Please visit each of the Sassy Sketcher Girls' blogs and let them know what you think of their magnificent creations!!!

Delivering Gifts by Papilio...and WINNER!!

Happy Wednesday to everyone!!! I hope that all of you are enjoying the holiday season and are not getting TOO stressed out yet with all of the things that have to be done over the next several weeks. I have finally turned the corner and decided to make a little card for no real reason except that I needed to see if I had forgotten how to cut paper...lolol...one more week on medicines and no hospital was the best news I have had all week...smiles!!

For this little card I used Bazzill for the base, all matting is SU, and the DP is "desember" by 3ndypapir.no. All major panels were machine stitched. This darling image is Papilio's Lida&Co-Delivering Gifts which was colored with Copics using the same colors from the DP children. The snow on the ground is Diamond Dust and the flakes are Star Dust Stickles. I also used a little touch of Liquid Applique on the cap. For the horizontal I used 1.5" Red Grosgrain ribbon and Totally Twill Moss Green to tie on a snowflake dangle. I used double snowflake ornaments on the upper left with moss colored rhinestones added. The front was finished with more rhinestones to soften the corners.

The inside of the card is VERY simple because I wanted alot of the cute DP to show. I did add a couple of MS snowflakes on the jotting spot! Isn't this paper from Norway just the sweetest????

WINNER...The winner of the Cookie Cutter Sweet Stuff is....

Really Reasonable Ribbon Challenge-Anything But A Card...AND a WEE BIT OF SWEET STUFF!!!!

Happy Wednesday and welcome to December!!!! Where in the world does time vanish to??? I can't believe that we are now in the throes of the holiday season!!! But I will wander along with the rest of you!! lol

Today is the first day of the new Challenge over at Really Reasonable Ribbon's Ramblings blog and I hope you will join in with us this time!! The theme this time is to make anything but a card, using ribbon and reminiscent of WINTER!!!

I started with a little clear container of Wilton Christmas Cookie Cutters and removed all of the labels and proceeded to decorate the canister with several kinds of ribbons from Really Reasonable Ribbon shop. For the body of the canister and the handle I used Christmas Vertical Stripe Satin and a darling red snowflake grosgrain which I think must have been one of the specialty ribbons from the marvelous monthly Ribbon Club! For the front panel I used that sweet Kitchen Tilda from Magnolia-licious , stamped her on Cryogen White and colored her with Copics. I also added several gingerbread boy and cookie cutter buttons to her panel...which you can perhaps see clearer on the picture below. On the top of the canister I used several layered Nesties with a Large Poinsettia from Wild Orchid Crafts.

On one side of the canister I added a red whisk and tied it on with Red/White Twisted Rope and on the other side I added a gingerbread boy ornament and tied it on with Bakers Twine Cherry.

Gosh it would be fun if you would come and join us in the challenge. You could win one of 2 gift certificates! For all of the details and inspiration from the rest of the Design Team, come on over to Really Reasonable Ribbon's Ramblings.

SWEET STUFF!!!!!!!........

And since I don't intend on baking Christmas Cookies, I would love to offer you a little touch of SWEET STUFF!!!! You can win this decorated canister, a Christmas Maggie, the rest of the set of Gingerbread ornaments, some Prima Poinsettias, some darling small red poinsettias from Wild Orchid Crafts, some red and green ribbons, and some red and green gems...How's that??? Just leave your comment before Saturday, December 4 at midnight.

Sorry I didn't take a pic of the SWEET STUFF this time BUTTTTTTTTT I am banished to bed rest until next week...Seems that my lungs were compromised by the chemo and radiation and I have picked up a bacterial infection which is causing asthmatic bronchitis and pneumonia.....heck that sounds like a horror story, doesn't it?? hahhaha So I can either follow doctor's orders (bahhhhhhh) or go to hospital...sooooo the funny part of this story is DO NOT USE COPICS IN BED when there is a chance of falling asleep!!!! I now have a lovely set of sheets with the most gorgeous B91-Pale Grayish Blue LARGEEEEEEE spot and one completely empty B91 Copic...hahahahahahah.

Anyway, hope you like my little creation and will come back and visit me again...Take care, breathe clean air, and enjoy the rest of your week. Sending you big Lysol-enriched hugs!!!!!

Tilda Brings Packages to Just Magnolia

Happy Saturday everyone!!! Gosh, I hope that everyone in the US survived Black Friday...and everyone outside the US had a marvelous day and week too!!! For those of you who have never heard of Black Friday, it is the first official day of Christmas shopping in the US with sales beginning as early as midnight with people lined up for miles to buy things on sale. I personally am not a Black Friday shopper--internet shopping is my speed!!!!

This week at Just Magnolia our challenge is provided by the very talented Donalda. You can flip and rotate the sketch any way you wish, as long as we can still see the elements of the sketch. You can combine our challenge with any other challenges of your choice and as long as the main image on your creation is a Magnolia stamp, you will qualify to be in the draw for the fab prize. And remember NO back linking, new projects/cards only please. The very nice prize this week is provided by Crafts U Love. So come on over and join in with us this week!!! We would love to see your creations!!

For my DT Sample Card I used Bazzill for the base, PTI Vintage Cream and Spring Rain for all matting, and the cute and sweet DP is Mary by Melissa Frances. All background panels are machine stitched. I used that darling little Tilda with Wedding Gifts from the Wedding Collection over at Magnolia-licious which can be used for any festive occasion, not just for weddings...she is carrying Christmas gifts today...wink!! It looks as though she may not be available right now, but if you would like to have her, contact Diana at Magnolia-licious and I'm sure she will make sure to get her for you. She was stamped on Cryogen White and colored with Copics before cutting her out with rectangular Nesties. The Shopping List is from MF and I gathered and added MF crepe paper to one side. The sentiment is from the Holiday Ticket Sentiments cut out with the Ticket Die, both from Whimsy Stamps. The floral treatment is a Small Flat Gardenia and Cherry Blossoms from Wild Orchid Crafts. To complete the front I added a small flat bow and pearls to soften the corners.

The inside of the card is very simple because I just love this paper and wanted as much of it to show as possible, with the sweet sentiments, cute characters, and lovely script. I only added a double Nestie for a jotting spot, and a knotted ribbon holding a sleigh charm.

Thank you so much for coming by today and I hope you will visit me often! It is always such a joy to see that you have been by! In case you have missed it, I have some SWEET STUFF on the posting below AND tomorrow is another giveaway at SUNDAY SENSATIONS from Magnolia-licious!!! So I hope to see you then! Until the next time, I send big Maggie hugs!!!!

Snowy Hug at Friday Sketchers and SWEET STUFF!!!!

Happy Friday to everyone!!! I hope you have had a marvelous week and are well-prepared for an even more marvelous weekend!!!

This week at Friday Sketchers #130 we are hosted by the amazingly talented Jeanette from Canada who has given us a delightful sketch. We hope you will come over and join with us to show us your interpretation of the sketch and be in for the draw for a great prize from Lauretta's Digital Stamps.

For my DT Sample Card I used Bazzill for the base and all matting and the DP is from the Bo Bunny Winter Joy Collection. I used that cute little Snowy Hug from Magnolia-licious and that darling couple is AVAILABLE at Diana's shop right now!!!!!! These cuties were stamped on Cryogen White, colored with Copics, adding a touch of Liquid Applique and Diamond Dust. For the horizontal I used 1.5" Wired Solid ReversiblePurple Ribbon with the wire removed and for the vertical I used a trimmed panel using the Tilda's Lace Doohickey Die from Magnolia-licious and 5/8" Purple Glitz Ribbon-- both ribbons are from Really Reasonable Ribbon. To complete the front I used purple and white snowflakes from the mini-ornament section of Michaels and purple rhinestones, as well as a flat bow and a dangling silver snowman charm.

The inside just used the same embellies as the front with different configurations of snowflakes.

I hope you like my little creation and will be able to join us at Friday Sketchers this week. We would love to see your card using Jeanette's sketch!! Please visit each of the Sassy Sketcher Girls' blogs and let them know what you think of their magnificent creations!!!
Aud, Bea, Claudia, Inge, Janneke, Jeanette, Jorunn, Tanja

SWEET STUFF!!...and now for a touch of sweet stuff...keeping in mind the stress of the season!! This time I have 3 prizes (GREEN, PURPLE, RED)--and each has almost the same things in them and each is a spa surprise and I have included some Stickles, gems, and flowers for each of the colors. So there will be 3 different winners!!! So please help me pass the word. You certainly do not have to have a blog to participate but if you do have a blog I would appreciate it greatly if you would help me pass the word on your sidebar and I would love for you to become a follower of my blog. Please leave your comment before Wednesday, December 1 at midnight EST. I can't wait to see where these 3 surprises will go!!!!

Thank you so very much for dropping by to see what's happening here--and I am so happy to report that there is NO SNOW YET!!! I hope you will come back often!! I love to hear from you and hope you like visiting almost as much! May you have a delightful weekend and please visit my Just Magnolia posting tomorrow and don't forget on Sunday I will have the SUNDAY SENSATIONS from MAGNOLIA-LICIOUS right here which will have yet another surprise JUST FOR YOU!!!
